Austin's AI companies run from Cycorp, one of the oldest AI research companies in the US, and Avathon (formerly SparkCognition) in industrial AI, to the defense AI of Striveworks and Onebrief. AI is also built into the metro's hardware: Tesla's self-driving and Optimus programs at Giga Texas, Apptronik's humanoid robots and Saronic's autonomous vessels.
