Inside the Singularity
The AI-Industrial Revolution from Austin to Alpha Centauri
by Daniel M. Sisson • SiliconPlans Press • 2026
This website is the live layer of the book. Inside the Singularity traces the convergence of AI compute, semiconductor fabrication, energy infrastructure, autonomous systems, and defense technology across the Texas Triangle and outward to orbit. The manuscript locked July 2026. The convergence did not.

What's Changed Since Publication
The book's manuscript locked early July 2026. The entries below track material developments in the convergence thesis since then — new contracts, new facilities, new capital commitments, and program milestones. Also items that either slipped through the cracks or ramped up in importance/relevance. Each entry links to its dataset page when available. Newest first.
| Date | Development | Significance |
|---|---|---|
| Oct 2026 | Blue Origin coming to Hutto, confirmed | Blue Origin is landing in Hutto Crossing with at least 1.3 million square feet of manufacturing, research-and-development, and warehouse space. Funded at $550 million, it could create 2,000 jobs over 10 years. |
| Sep 2026 | Tesla Cybercab launch in Austin | Forty-five autonomous Cybercabs were launched in Austin on Sep 3. That brings Tesla and Waymo neck-and-neck with approx 300 autonomous vehicles for each (270 Tesla Model Y robotaxis + 45 Cybercabs). |
| Sep 2026 | Aalo Atomics expansion into Georgetown | Designs and builds factory-manufactured nuclear power plants for data centers, industry, and cities. |
| Sep 2026 | SpaceX Bastrop gas turbine blade and vane fabrication facility announced | Vertical integration into power generation hardware. Bastrop complex now spans AI satellite manufacturing, semiconductor packaging, solar cell production, and turbine component fabrication. |
| Aug 2026 | Pacifico/BlackChamber Cedar Creek data center and Anthropic | Anthropic is in talks to occupy a gargantuan data center in Cedar Creek. This puts the Cedar Creek convergence on a path to being the sixth supernode of the Austin Supercluster. |
| Aug 2026 | Blue Origin "Project Blue Hub" near certainty in Hutto | Hutto approves all incentives for Blue Origin program at Hutto Crossing location. This moves the final decision ever closer to announcement. |
| Jul 2026 | Nvidia advanced chip manufacturing at Wistron plant | $700M advanced manufacturing at Wistron plant in Fort Worth to produce Grace Blackwell Ultra and Vera Rubin superchips. |
| Jul 2026 | IonQ acquisition of SkyWater Technology (w/ Fab 25) approved | $1.8B acquisition merges the only solely U.S.-owned DMEA Category 1A Trusted Foundry — including Fab 25 in Austin — with a quantum computing company. Trusted semiconductor fabrication and quantum now share a corporate entity. |

The Onward Arc
Inside the Singularity ends at orbit. The same Texas Triangle operators building the terrestrial AI-industrial base — the semiconductor fabs, the datacenters, the energy infrastructure, the autonomous systems — are now building the orbital layer above it. SpaceX's Starshield is the military data backbone for Golden Dome. SpaceX's AI1 is the first orbital data center. Intuitive Machines in Houston builds the spacecraft bus for the SDA tracking constellation. The Cyclotron Institute in College Station certifies every chip that flies. Lockheed's Grand Prairie plant builds the interceptors. Palantir and Anduril in Austin write the AI that closes the kill chain.
The convergence runs outward. Artemis returns humans to the lunar surface. SpaceX's Starship opens cislunar space to industrial-scale operations. The same compute, energy, and manufacturing constraints forcing the terrestrial stack upward are the engineering problems that define the next era — not as analogy, but as the same supply chain, the same operators, the same physics.
That story is SolarSystemOS.com — the companion site in development to Riding the Singularity, the upcoming second book in this series. Where Inside the Singularity maps the AI-industrial revolution from the ground up, Riding the Singularity continues the argument from orbit outward — the same operators, the same Texas corridor, the same recursive convergence of compute, energy, and manufacturing, extended across the solar system.
